Dr. Jack Frienhar has been an Investigator at CNS Network for over 7 years. As well as working with clinical trials, he is also the Attending Psychiatrist at Brotman Hospital, Edgemont Hospital, and Torrance Memorial Hospital. For over 20 years, Dr. Freinhar has been a practicing Psychiatrist in Southern California. He has had extensive experience working with phase I-IV psychological clinical trials, including Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Insomnia, Schizoaffective, and Depression. Dr. Freinhar has published several articles in The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, the International Journal of Psychiatry in Medicine, Psychosomatics, and the American Journal of Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Psychiatric Association and International Psychosomatics Institute. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Previously, Dr. Freinhar was the Medical Director and Executive Director of Edgemont Hospital. He was an attending psychiatrist for various hospitals as well as a therapist for various clinics in California and New York. Dr. Freinhar graduated from the State University of New York of Binghamton and received his Doctorate at the University of Miami, School of Medicine.

Dr. Nima Ramezan-Arab is a neurological investigator at CNS Network and has been working in neurological research for over 10 years. He has experience with phase I-IV trials, including Alzheimer’s disease, migraine, post-herpetic neuralgia, Parkinson’s disease, and seizure disorders. Dr. Ramezan-Arab is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology as well as HIPAA certified. His clinical practice is at Southland Neurologic Associates, he is Junior Member of the American Academy of Neurology, and is associated with the Los Angeles County Neurologic Society.
Dr. Ramezan-Arab received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. He received his Doctorate from the University of California, School of Medicine and completed his fellowhip in Neurophysiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He has been published in several professional journals, including the Journal of Neurochemistry and Experimental Neurology.

Dr. Alan Cohen is one of the Investigators for neurological research trials at CNS Network. Additionally, he is the president at Southland Neurologic Associates as well as an Associate Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Cohen is the Director of Electrodiagnostic Services at Los Alamitos Medical Center and was previously the Chief of Medicine at Los Alamitos Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of the American ECG Society, Far Western Medical Association, Orange County Neurologic Association and American Fellowship of Israeli Physicians. He has presented multiple lectures to Professional Medical groups on neurological disorders, such as headaches, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease and sleep disorders.
Dr. Cohen is the recipient of “Hundred Best Doctors” in 2001, 2002,2003, and 2004 by Orange County Magazine.
Dr. Cohen received his Doctor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine and interned at University of Minnesota Hospitals for Neurology as well as Surgery. He has also served in the United States Air Force as Chief of Neurology.

Dr. Nirav Patel has been in collaboration with CNS Network for over two years as a Neurological Investigator. He has had extensive research experience working with phase I-IV neurological disorders such as Migraines, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Post-Herpetic Neuralgia, and Diabetic Neuropathy.
Dr. Patel received his Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences at University of California, Riverside. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine and began his residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. While attending, he received the Outstanding Teaching Attending and Teaching Recognition Award from the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Presently, he is a part of the Clinical Faculty in the Department of Neurology at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center. He was the former Chief Resident in the Department of Neurology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
He is Board Certified from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the National Board of Medical Examiners Part I & II. Dr. Patel is affiliated with the Los Angeles Society of Neurological Sciences, the Los Angeles County Medical Association and the American Academy of Neurology. He is an active member at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, Los Alamitos Medical Center as well as the Community Hospital of Long Beach. He is the Medical Director of the Stroke Center at Los Alamitos Medical Center. Dr. Patel is a Private Practitioner at Southland Neurologic Associates.

Dr. Jonathan Brand has been a Sub-Investigator with CNS Network since 2006 and has been practicing Psychiatry in the Los Angeles area for over twenty five years. He has had extensive experience with many phase I-IV research trials, focusing on schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
Dr. Brand is currently the Medical Director in Psychiatry for St. Francis Hospital, and is affiliated with Pacific Hospital of Long Beach, Long Beach Community Hospital, Brotman Medical Center, LA Metropolitan Hospital, and Del Amo Hospital. Dr. Brand also has a private practice in general Psychiatry in the Los Angeles area. He is affiliated with the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, and Los Angeles Medical Association.
Dr. Brand received his Doctorate at the University of Utah and completed his residency in Psychiatry at University of California, Irvine. He has had specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry, chemical dependency, medical evaluation and management, and crisis intervention.

Dr. Omid Omidvar has been in collaboration with CNS Network for over two years as an Investigator for Neurological studies. He is board-certified in Neurology and has had extensive expertise in working with neurological research. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology as well as the California Medical Association. He holds his licensure in California.
Dr. Omidvar received Diplôme d’Etat de Docteur en Médecine in Rouen, France. He was an assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine, where he began his career in neurological research; during which time, he received the outstanding teaching attending at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was also a member of the clinical faculty at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Omidvar is in affiliation with Los Alamitos Medical Center, and was Chairman of Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee. For over 10 years, Dr. Omidvar has been a Private Practitioner with Southland Neurologic Associates in Southern California.

Since 2000, Dr. Goenjian has been one of the investigators at CNS Network. He is affiliated with Memorial Counseling Associates in Long Beach, and is Research Professor of Psychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Additionally, Dr Goenjian has his own private practice in Long Beach and is the Senior Medical Director of Psychiatry at Pacific and Community Hospitals of Long Beach.
Dr. Goenjian received his Bachelors of Science degree at the American University of Beirut and Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Tennessee. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and Diplomate of the American Board of Geriatrics. He has published extensively on PTSD and depression in peer reviewed journals, and has over 12 years experience with phase I-IV clinical trials, specializing in bipolar, depression, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic-stress disorder.
Not only does Dr. Goenjian dedicate his time to research, but he believes in giving back to the community by doing humanitarian work. After the 1988 tragic Spitak earthquake, of Armenia, Dr. Goenjian initiated and directed the Psychiatric Outreach Program that has trained mental health workers and provided treatment to thousands of patients in the earthquake zone. Dr. Goenjian has also consulted and provided training to mental health workers after other natural disasters and wars in other countries including Honduras, Greece, Turkey, Nicaragua, Taiwan and Nagorno-Karabagh.

David P. Walling, PhD, is Chief Executive and Clinical Officer at Collaborative Neuroscience Network, Inc., a leading clinical research center for mental health conditions in Los Angeles, California. Previously, he was Vice President of Clinical Services at Psychiatric Management Resources & Stadt Solutions Pharmacy Corporation. Dr. Walling was also an Assistant Professor and Research Scientist in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Walling has clinical experience as a licensed psychologist and marriage, family, and child counselor.
Throughout his career, Dr. Walling has been a lead or co-investigator for more than 90 clinical studies, with many focusing on schizophrenia and/or schizoaffective disorder. He has published numerous articles in leading medical journals including the American Journal of Psychiatry, American Journal of Psychotherapy, and Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease. Dr. Walling has also authored numerous book chapters and has served as a reviewer for leading publications including Psychiatric Services, Psychiatry Research, and the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis.
Dr. Walling has presented at leading medical meetings including the annual meetings of the American Psychological Association (of which he is a member), the American Psychiatric Association, and the International Congress on Schizophrenia Research.
Dr. Walling received his doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Southern California. He received his master’s degree in counseling from California State University, where he also received his bachelor’s degree. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
