28th Annual Los Alamitos Race on the Base
As part of an ongoing community outreach, CNS Network recently attended the 28th Annual Los Alamitos Race on the Base. The Race on the Base is one of the biggest events in the community and is held on the runways at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos. This year, over 3,000 people participated in several different races, including a 1k kids Fun Run, 5K Walk, 5K Run, 10K inline, Wheelchair Race, and a Reverse Triathlon. An Additional 1,500-2000 spectators watched the events and got a chance to view the military helicopters, planes, and vehicles up close and in detail. The festivities also included a vendor expo area, where CNS had a booth and was one of the sponsors. A wide range of Corporations from all over Southern California were represented, like K Earth 101 FM, Time Warner Cable, Yamaha, Best Western Hotels, and Los Alamitos Medical Center offered a plethora of information, and give-a-ways. Services offered ranged from chiropractic to dental care, from synthetic grass installation to fitness clubs, from concert giveaways to Frisbee contests. The event was co-hosted by the Cancer Support Foundation and a portion of the proceeds, generated from the 5K Walk and through race registration, were donated to the organization to help fund research. The CNS Network outreach team had a great time getting our message of searching for tomorrows cures today to thousands of people.
